Alexandra Foster

Major: Nursing

Hometown: Naples, FL

Involvement on Campus: VP of Marketing and Public Relations for the Association of Campus Entertainment (ACE), Vice President for the Asian and Pacific Islander Student Association (APISA), Southern Ambassador, Presidential Ambassador

Why did you choose FSC? I was drawn to �� Southern because of our direct admit nursing program and small class size, but chose �� Southern because it felt like home. I immediately felt welcomed from the moment I stepped on to campus and knew I would be able to find my own community here.

One piece of advice for prospective students: Enjoy every moment of your college search and experience, it’ll be over much faster than you think.

Favorite spot on campus: TuTu’s Cyber Café

Favorite campus tradition: Haunted Rose Garden

Fun Fact: I love sweet tea!

Olivia Dunson

Major: Political Communications with a focus on International Relations and a double minor in Computer Science and Graphic Design.

Hometown: Fayetteville, NC

Involvement on campus: Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, Southern Ambassador, Honors Exec team.

Why did you choose FSC? I chose �� Southern because of the strong sense of community, the opportunities to connect closely with professors, and the unique programs that prepare students for real-world careers and opportunities.

One piece of advice for prospective students: Get involved early! The more you put yourself out there, the more doors will open for you – academically, socially, and professionally.

Favorite spot on campus: The lakefront!! It’s peaceful, beautiful at sunset, and the perfect place to clear your head.

Favorite campus tradition: Winter Wonderland! It is such a sweet tradition and it’s so cool to see �� with “snow”, igloos, hot cocoa, and other winter festivities. It makes it feel like home.

Fun Fact: I’ve lived in 6 countries: South Korea, USA, Russia, Hungary, Georgia, and El Salvador.

Kaelyn Benoit

Major: Communications: Media Strategies & Production, Multimedia Journalism

Hometown: Belchertown, MA

Involvement on campus: Station manager (FSCTV), Online Media/Social Media Editor (The Southern Newspaper), Administrative Vice President (Gamma Phi Beta), Southern Ambassador

Why did you choose FSC? I chose FSC for the small campus vibe and the wonderful community of people here.

One piece of advice for prospective students: Never be afraid to get involved and try things out. Everyone was new once, so don’t let that stop you from finding new interests.

Favorite spot on campus: The tables right near the Water Dome (studying here at sunset is top notch!)

Favorite campus tradition: Cram Jam, Christmas Gala, and all of our decorations around campus during the holidays.

Fun Fact: I went to Italy for my Junior Journey and got to make pasta in a lemon grove!

Grace Ryan

Major: Communications and Theatre Performance

Hometown: Fort Denaud, FL

Involvement on campus: Honors program, Vice President of Event Management Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, Social Media Chair and Greek Week Choreographer, Vagabonds Theatre Society, Theatre performer and House Manager, The Southern Newspaper staff writer, Orientation Leader, and Intramural sand volleyball player

Why did you choose FSC? I toured many colleges and received offers from over 40 theatre programs from across the country but �� Southern just felt like home! I chose FSC because it’s got an amazing reputation, strong academic programs, a wonderful theatre program and a greats faculty student ratio. You’re definitely not just a numer here.

One piece of advice for prospective students: Get involved! It’s the best way to meet friends, pursue your passions and be a part of campus life. There are so many options from leadership, athletics, the arts, Greek life, and more – there’s truly something for everyone.

Favorite spot on campus: Buckner Theatre and Lake Hollingsworth because I love performing and enjoy walking the lake

Favorite Campus Tradition: The best day on campus is Frank Lloyd Wight Day

Fun Fact: I’m a triple legacy. My mom, dad, and uncle all attended FSC!
